Here's how we should be dealing with Pakistan : Citizens of India
Around 78% of the respondents felt that India definitely needs to be more aggressive in their stance towards Pakistan, however this aggression should be in the form of diplomatic strategies rather than military initiatives. 20% feel military action against Pakistan would be the best option. In short, the citizens wan't a more pronounced stand against Pakistan but they are not quite in favour of war.
When it comes to citizens of the two countries, its very clear that Indians have managed to seperate the grains from the chaff. Close to 63% of the respondents said they were willing to participate in initiatives meant to enhance people-to-people contact between the citizens of the two countries. Around 25% felt that though they didn't have any issues with the interactions, it would hardly solve any purpose.

Two nuclear nations cant afford a war. Let's be practical. But given a choice, i would stand with the opinion that india should teach Pakistan a lesson. But practically, not possible. It is the last option. America needs india, like never before for its self-interest. Be nuclear equipment, a huge middle class and a deterrent against China. Twist The american muscle, so that it can twist pakistan. America still holds lot of strings in Pakistan. If America stops military and financial aid to Pakistan, it goes for a six. Pakistan's economy will fail. Let India handle America diplomatically and America will take care of Pakistan.
